At Cineplex Entertainment LP ("Cineplex" or "we" or "us"), we share your concerns about privacy and the protection of your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes the steps we have taken and our practices regarding the protection of your personal information.

This website is owned and operated by Cineplex and your dealings with Cineplex and all of its associated brands (Famous Players, SilverCity, StarCité, , Coliseum, Colisée, Colossus, Cineplex Odeon and Galaxy) are also governed by this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information We Collect

Cineplex and its agents and representatives may collect personal information in certain circumstances, such as:

 

• Contact information, such as name, home address, home telephone number or e-mail address;
  
• Credit card or debit information, for instance when purchasing theatre tickets or other products or services;
  
• Information relevant to a particular service you request, such as the age and gender of a child or other person where you request our birthday party services;
  
• Survey responses, in cases where you provide your name in order to take advantage of bonuses or other benefits from participating in a survey, or consent to us contacting you about your comments;
  
• Preferences and other personal profile information you may provide to us when you register on our website, for instance theatre preferences, favourite movie genres, biographical information such as age and gender;
  
• Credit and financial information taken for purchasers of our services on credit.

Use of Your Personal Information

We collect and use personal information for a number of purposes:

• Tickets, Bookings: Personal contact and credit/debit card information will be used by Cineplex to process your purchases and reservations (for example box office/ATM theatre purchases, advance tickets, special event bookings). For some event bookings, such as birthday parties, the child's name, age and gender will be used to organize the event. In these cases, credit/debit card information is only used for these purposes and is only retained in transaction records required for internal management and auditing purposes, unless you are informed otherwise or you provide your consent.
  
  
• Theatre Administration: Your name, address and phone number will be stored by us should you provide such information when you use our lost-and-found services. Also, your name, address and phone number may be collected and used by Cineplex for audit and refund verification purposes when you request a ticket refund. We may require identification to be provided to establish a person's age, for instance for age-restricted movies or ticket pricing. We may also require identification such as a valid driver's license or similar ID to provide you with special theatre equipment, for example RWC/DVS equipment for our blind or visually impaired or our deaf or hard of hearing theatre guests. Cineplex monitors its premises for crime deterrence and detection purposes, to which you implicitly consent when you visit our theatres. In case of accident or theft, Cineplex may collect, use and disclose information related to the incident as required for operational, insurance and/or legal purposes.
  
  
• Contests/Benefits: Cineplex runs contests, both offline and through our website. We require your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address (for online entries) and we may also require proof of your age for the purposes of determining eligibility, prize notification and fulfilment and related purposes in connection with the contest. Contact information may be required to administer other benefits our guests have requested or accepted.
  
  
• Surveys: Cineplex will occasionally conduct surveys and research, either offline, by telephone or on our website. These surveys may ask you about your theatre and movie-going preferences, your age, gender and other biographical information, region of residence or other personal information that may enable Cineplex to understand its guests' preferences. Your participation in surveys is voluntary, and in some cases you will have the option to participate anonymously. However, your name, address and telephone number may be required: (1) to take advantage of bonuses or other benefits that may be available to survey participants, in which case your contact information is only used for notification and fulfilment purposes; or (2) where you have provided your express consent to us contacting you to discuss your comments. Except as described above, survey responses are only used by Cineplex on an aggregate basis.
  
  
• Other Uses: We may also use personal information where necessary for establishing and maintaining our relationship with corporate and business customer contacts. Job applications or resumes sent to us (either by delivery or through our website) are forwarded to our Human Resources Department or the relevant theatre(s) for evaluation. We also use personal information to manage and administer our business, to meet legal, regulatory, security and processing requirements, and otherwise as permitted or required by law. If we intend to use personal information for purposes not identified to you or set out above, these other purposes will be described to you at the time of collection or before using the personal information.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Personal information collected by Cineplex is not disclosed to other parties, except as follows:

• We may share your personal information with outside parties who sponsor sweepstakes or other promotions on our website. However, we will not share your personal information with these parties unless you specifically agree to a governing set of rules that allow such disclosure, or otherwise give us permission to do so. Cineplex employs other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. For instance, we may use third parties to host message boards or other user forums, to develop software applications and databases or to send communications on our behalf. Your personal information may be disclosed to such individuals in the course of Cineplex's business operations. "Cineplex.com" and the Internet

Cineplex operates this website ("Cineplex.com") and other domain names we own that resolve to this site, at which visitors can register to receive customized information, enter contests, polls or surveys or make purchases. We do not collect personal information about you unless you choose to provide us with information about you, such as age, gender, or other information we may need when you choose to register on our website, or as otherwise described in this policy.

Regarding External Links: Cineplex.com may contain links or references to other websites to which this privacy policy does not apply. For example, when you click a link to purchase theatre tickets or take advantage of other third-party services our website may refer you to, you are leaving Cineplex.com and using a third-party website for those purposes. We use information you provide on Cineplex.com to facilitate your registration options, to understand who our guests are and their preferences, to improve the content of our website, to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor based on information you voluntarily provide, to send you periodic newsletters and mailings you request, process your purchases and to conduct surveys, polls and contests as described above. Cineplex does not disclose personal information contained in our subscriber database to any third parties except as otherwise described in this policy.

Receiving e-mail newsletters from us is optional when you register. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by following the unsubscribe instructions in our e-mail or by sending us an e-mail at the address below. If you supply us with your postal address on-line you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events if you have selected this option. Note to Parents/Children's Privacy

Protecting children's privacy is important to us. For that reason, we do not collect information on our website from those we actually know are under 13 years of age. In addition, we believe that no part of our website is targeted to attract anyone under 13 years of age. We request that website visitors under 13 years of age not disclose or provide any personal information. If we discover such information, we will delete the child's personal information from our records. If for any reason we believe a user may be under the age of 13 we reserve the right to request proof of age of such user.
